Granite Le Pelley Directors visit Chinese Granite Factories

Phil Le Roy and Pascal Maurice visited China last week to inspect the production of granite paving, sett and kerbs for St Helier's Millennium Town Park.

Five different types of Granite for the project are being produced in China from five difference regions:

-          XLR; pink colour origin province of Guangxi,

-          SNR; red colour area of Ning de,

-          G 654; blue colour, province of Zhang zhou,

-          G 617; light pink colour, province of Quan zhou,

-          G 682; Yellow colour, province of Quan zhou.

 

"We went to China to inspect the Quality Assurance procedures of the Chinese factories”

said Pascal Maurice, General Manager of Granite Le Pelley Jersey.

“It was really interesting to see the granite in production there.  1,300 tons of granite will be produced for the Millennium Town Park and this will be transported to Jersey in 52 containers”.
